Koshi or Zaphir – What Is the Difference?
Koshi and Zaphir are often mentioned in the same breath, and they share a great deal. Both are tuned musical instruments with eight metal rods inside the tube and both are used the world over for meditation, yoga practise and sound healing. They are made by different workshops, though, and they have distinct voices.
The Koshi is built on a bamboo body, which gives it a warm, soft tone that feels rounded and intimate. The Zaphir is built on a cellulose resonance tube, which gives it a brighter, crystal-clear sound that sparkles. Neither is better than the other; they simply suit different rooms and different moods. A Koshi tends to sink gently into a quiet space, while a Zaphir adds light and shimmer. Ja. Waarom klinkt mijn windgong binnen niet?
De meest voorkomende reden is simpel: er is niet genoeg luchtbeweging op de gekozen plek. Effectieve oplossingen: hang de windgong bij een regelmatig gebruikte deur — elke opening veroorzaakt een korte drukverandering; zet een raam op een kier — zelfs een kleine opening zorgt op de meeste dagen voor een zachte, gelijkmatige luchtstroom; of gebruik een kleine ventilator op de laagste stand, langs de windgong gericht in plaats van er recht op.
